In Sawar village\u00a0in\u00a0Yavatmal district, Vidarbha<\/strong>, Maharashtra, farming has become increasingly uncertain due to changing weather conditions<\/a>.<\/strong> Delayed rainfall, sudden heavy rains, and floods have affected crop production year after year. For many families, especially women, agriculture is no longer a predictable source of income but a daily struggle to survive.<\/p>\n

The Voices<\/a> <\/em><\/strong>bring forth this struggle through their three women from the village who live with these challenges every season. From scant rains to surging floods,<\/strong> from pest attacks to poor marketing, these women brave all and yet keep the farming sector growing to burn hearth in their households. Earning two square meals a day, the farmers Prathibha, Sharadha and Shevanta share their exhausting journey with The Voices<\/strong> <\/em>student reporter.<\/p>\n

These accounts show how climate change affects everyday farming in Vidarbha. Despite repeated losses, long working hours, and uncertain incomes, women continue to hold together farms, households, and livelihoods in the region.<\/p>\n
