In 1936 Charlie Chaplin produced one of his greatest works titled ‘Modern Times’. It was a critique of the ‘post-industrial revolution’ world and portrayed how the ‘efficiency’ of the “Modern times”\u00a0 had reduced man into being just another cog in the machine of mass production.<\/p>

Today, we are living in the era of ‘Industrial revolution 4.0’. Our cities and appliances are becoming smarter and talking to each other, while we are continuously secluding ourselves onto little Internet powered ‘islands of existence.’<\/p>

Parking my car under an apple tree that was just starting to blossom last week at a village near Manali,\u00a0 got me thinking of how I had never done something like this, and am more than sure an overwhelming majority of readers wouldn’t have either.<\/p>

‘The New Modern’ times have shackled us into chains of consumerism and made us slaves of market driven ‘comfort zones’.<\/p>

Although more and more people are realizing the gravity of our current predicament and are spending time in calm, peaceful places be it in the form of vocations or ‘workations’, there still remain a mammoth pressing need to reconsider and make a dynamic shift in our overall way of life as human beings.<\/p>
