In a bid to bolster economic recovery in pandemic times, the federal government in Budget 2022-23, proposed the plan to scale up capital expenditure to historic highs. India’s legislative committee, the appointments committee of the cabinet, has named senior Indian Administrative Service officer Vikram Dev Dutt as the incumbent Chairman and Managing Director of state-run flag carrier Air India Ltd, according to a government statement.
